The scholarships listed below are usually announced each year by the sponsoring corporation or nonprofit organization. Most of scholarships listed below are for Seniors. Students should check the application directions and application deadlines for each of the scholarships listed below by clicking on the scholarship titles.

AKA Sorority- Pearls in Partnership Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: May 15th
All application materials must be submitted by this date.
Award: $2,000
Requirements:
- Student must identify as Black/African American
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must intend to attend full-time at a 2-year or 4-year school after graduation

The Eunice Riggins Memorial Scholarship:
Open to any young woman who is currently graduating from an accredited public high school in North Carolina that follows the NC Standard Course of Study and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university in North Carolina next fall. Specific eligibility requirements are: Academic rank in top 10% of class, Minimum SAT score of 1220 or ACT composite score of 25, good character and participation in extracurricular activities (school and community). Financial need is not the primary consideration.
The Mary Rose Mills-Linda Rankin Memorial Scholarship:
Open to any student who is currently graduating from an accredited public high school in North Carolina that follows the NC Standard Course of Study and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university next fall. Specific eligibility requirements are: Academic rank in top 10% of class, Minimum SAT score of 1290 or ACT composite score of 27, good character and participation in extracurricular activities (school and community). Financial need is not the primary consideration.
The Clare Johnson Marley-Mary Earle Berger Fine Arts Scholarship:
Open to any student who is currently graduating from an accredited public high school in North Carolina that follows the NC Standard Course of Study and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university next fall, and who is declaring his/her major in an area of the fine arts. Specific eligibility requirements are: Academic rank in top 20% of class, Minimum SAT score of 1220 or ACT composite score of 25, good character and participation in extracurricular activities (school and community). Financial need is not the primary consideration. (Samples of talent are required to be submitted with the application.)
North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa Student Achievement Scholarship:
$2000 and is open to a male or female, on track to graduate this spring and planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Specific eligibility requirements are: SAT score of 990 to 1130 or ACT composite score of 20 to 24; unweighted GPA of 2.5 to 3.5; good character, integrity, leadership potential and service to school, community and church.

Marine Option Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC)
College Scholarship:
Information: This scholarship pays 100% of tuition costs (averaging
about $180,000 per student), either in-state OR out-of-state, for four years
while a student completes their bachelor's degree. After receiving eight
semesters of tuition and a monthly stipend, students then commission as Second
Lieutenants in the Marine Corps and begin a four-year term of Active Duty
service. The attached flyer can be shared either physically or digitally to
your schools and sports teams. There is also a subset of Marine Corps NROTC
Scholarships that are specifically for HBCUs. The second flyer addresses those
special scholarships and lists all 17 HBCUs at which they can be used. Below
I've listed the basic requirements to submit an application:
1. Students must be a United States Citizen
2. Students must attend a school that has an NROTC unit on campus. In North
Carolina, their options are UNC Chapel Hill, Duke, and NC State. However, they
can also go to school out-of-state if they so choose. A full list of schools

3. Students must score at least a 74 on the ASVAB, OR a 1000 on the SAT, OR a
22 on the ACT
4. Students must pass a Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test that consists of
pull-ups, a plank hold, and a 3 mile run

Phi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Scholarship
Deadline: April 30, 2023
The Phi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is offering two $500.00 scholarships
to graduating high school females in Vance, Franklin, Granville, and Warren Counties.
Requirements:
- Female student graduating from a Vance, Franklin, Granville, or Warren county school.
- Two references

Wake Electric- James E. Webb Technology Scholarship

Winstead Scholarship for the Arts
Deadline: May 11th
All application materials should be submitted to Mrs. Hammack by this date.
Award: one student will receive $1,000 to go towards their first year at a college/university.
Requirements:
- High school senior
- Currently enrolled/taking part in an arts class or program (drama, chorus, orchestra, band, art, etc)
- Seeking higher education after high school with the expectation that involvement in the arts will be continued at the next level of education
- Be enrolled in a school in Franklin or Vance Counties
- Submit an example of your artistic expression (video of a performance or dramatic reading, photos of a painting, etc), and a short essay about how the arts have affected you
