DAVIDSON BELK SCHOLARSHIPS--Valued at over $45,000, including two summer stipends. Belk Scholars represent the finest attributes of the Davidson College student body: integrity, intellectual enthusiasm and excellence, global awareness, and leadership ability and potential. DAVIDSON BRYAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM - An award for top athletes and scholars valued at $30,000 annually. The scholarship is renewable, totaling up to $120,000 during the recipients Davidson career provided you maintain a specified grade point average and meet requirements toward earning a degree. Two students from BHS can be nominated (one male and one female). If interested, see Ms. Southerland in guidance, or your coach.
EAST CAROLINA SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM-The EC Scholars program is a merit scholarship program established in 1998 that attracts high-ability students to East Carolina University who have the promise and capability to become scholars and leaders in Eastern North Carolina and beyond. The EC Scholar award is offered to the best of our entering freshman class. This is the most prestigious scholarship offered at East Carolina University. EC Scholars exhibit outstanding academic performance, engagement in the community, effective leadership skills, and embrace a study abroad experience. The amount awarded to scholarship recipients is $40,000 ($5,000 per semester for eight continuous semesters). In addition, EC Scholars are provided with a $5,000 stipend to help support their Study Abroad experience.
NORTH CAROLINA STATE CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP-This program is for top students who are interested in majoring in such fields as engineering, business management, chemistry, polymer chemistry, forensics, medical fields, international studies, apparel, sourcing, fashion, merchandising or retail management. The program will award up to ten $47,500 scholarships to freshmen entering the College of Textiles at NC State.
NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY PARK SCHOLARSHIP- The mission of the Park Scholarships program is to bring exceptional students to NC State, based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The program develops and supports Park Scholars in these areas, preparing them for lifelong contributions to the campus, state, nation, and world. Recipients receive the following:
Step 1: Apply for undergraduate admission to NC State by the October 15 deadline using the Common Application.
Step 2: Students need to complete the Self-Endorsement Form
Step 3: Completed Application is October 15, 2020

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Scholarships: The ROTC is a leadership training program for college students who plan to serve in the U.S. military after college. While completing their bachelor's degrees, ROTC "cadets" are training to become officers in the Army, Navy, or Air Force. Marine Corps cadets participate in the Navy ROTC. The U.S. Coast Guard does not offer ROTC. See following websites for more information:
UNC-CHAPEL HILL LIGHT ON THE HILL SOCIETY (LOTH) &JULIUS PEPPERS SCHOLARSHIP- LOTH will award up to 4 one-time $1000 scholarships and the Julius Peppers Scholarship ($1,000-renewable up to 3 yrs). Applicants must be African-American male or female, first-year student who plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill.
UNC-CHAPEL HILL MOREHEAD-CAIN SCHOLARSHIP – Full academic scholarship open to students planning to attend UNC Chapel Hill. Criteria for selection includes: proven leadership experience, scholarship (top 10% of the senior class and above average SAT/ACT scores), moral character and physical vigor.
Note: Bunn High School seniors who are interested in applying for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship should go through the self-endorsement process on the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Website. Seniors do not have to be endorsed by Bunn High School to apply.

UNC-CHARLOTTE LEVINE SCHOLARS – Four year scholarships that include full tuition, room and board, and a new laptop computer. The program includes four summers of experiences which will develop leadership skills and social awareness. The full scholarship is valued at $90,000. Requirements include a minimum 3.8 unweighted grade point average and an 1800 – 2400 on the three combined sections of the SAT or 29 – 36 on the ACT composite. Students should demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that beckons fellow students toward a higher standard.

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINE AT GREENSBORO GUARANTEE SCHOLARSHIP:
UNCG Guarantee helps in-state students graduate from UNCG in four years with little or no debt as well as provides a support program to encourage academic and personal success. The university will make every attempt to meet the rest of the recipients' financial need through a combination of federal, state, university, and private grants and scholarships. Recipients will be provided with complementary systems of aid and outreach, vibrant, inclusive, sustainable learning environments, and caring, personalized and comprehensive support, thereby creating access to education and opportunities for success.
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT GREENSBORO SCHOLARSHIPS: UNCG offers a variety of scholarships to their students including merit awards, athletic awards and departmental scholarships.
VANCE-GRANVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGE— VGCC offers a variety of scholarships to students. Seniors must complete a General Scholarship Application to be considered.
UNC Chapel Hill Thomas Wolfe Scholarship:
The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship will receive applications beginning September 1st, 2020. Our Thomas Wolfe Scholarship application process involves two (2) steps:
Step 1) an application to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by October 15th, 2020; and,
Step 2) an application to the Thomas Wolfe Scholarship by November 15th, 2020.
Students must apply to both the University and the Scholarship to be considered. Preliminary screening will be completed in January, 2021, with final screening concluding in early March, 2021. Three outstanding candidates will be brought to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus for interviews – if possible -- and a final decision will be made in early April, 2021.
